Christopher Bloom Cobenhagen Grad Student in Sport and Health Science American Military University I have been a Personal Trainer, Coach and Group Fitness Instructor in some capacity for the last... more »Christopher Bloom Cobenhagen Grad Student in Sport and Health Science American Military University I have been a Personal Trainer, Coach and Group Fitness Instructor in some capacity for the last 16 years. After working as a Personal Trainer with Coach Glassman in the 90’s, I enlisted in the Marine Corps and served as an Infantry Squad Leader and Counterintelligence Specialist for nearly a decade. While serving as a small unit leader in the Corps, I was able to bring what I learned from Coach Glassman and implemented concepts of the CrossFit methodology into my unit’s physical training program. This functional training was tested under fire in both Iraq and Afghanistan where fitness was truly a life or death matter. I am an Accredited Instructor with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Health Science with a Minor in Sports Medicine and am currently working on a Masters in Sport and Health Science at American Military University.
