GMO labeling faces growing food industry opposition in Congress | Minnesota Public Radio News

By Brett Neely - "This is really the catch all and the industry's wish list bill," said Colin O'Neil, lobbyist for the nonprofit Center for Food Safety. O'Neil notes that many food companies already disclose plenty about what's being added to their foods. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration "requires the labeling of nearly 4,000 other ingredients, additives and processes. Things like orange juice from concentrate and foods that have been irradiated," he said.

They are in basically anything we eat now a days and there is really nothing we can do about it other than growing our own food/livestock from our own seeds. I've come to accept I am going to eat GMOs since I do not have the means to grow my own food and I am ok with that (for the most part). But I do believe poeple have a right to know what they are ingesting.  I believe GMO food should have labels! In the movie, GMO OMG, they mention that large food companies are doign everything they can to prevent this from happening! 12-02-2014 5:17pm
