Situation of Kurdish women from Öcalan himself

"In its freedom struggle for the Kurdish people, the PKK did not only fight against the crippling effects of colonialism; above all, it struggled against internal feudalism in order to change the status of women and end the enslavement of society in general."

So if this is the case, if this is what the PKK was struggling for, how does this manifest into broader Kurdish society? Do people react to this ideology and empowerment found in the PKK? Does it depend on the invovlement? What about military invovlement and does it then depend on which conflict?
